Celebrate Summer with CRE Speed Event Clinic
A great opportunity for the dedicated rider wanting to work on fine tuning their horsemanship and barrel/pole patterns. We will discuss participant goals and how they plan to accomplish these goals. Participants will spend time on the ground and in the saddle doing warm ups, work on techniques/style and introduce exercises /pattern work to help in their speed events on day 1 and on day 2 will participate in a review/warm up, followed by a fun friendly timed event competition (barrels and poles) with prizes. Each rider will get two take home videos of each run (normal video run and one from a unique perspective from aboard their horse/overhead), as well as a Team CRE T-shirt.
Riders must be confident in their riding skills (walk, trot and lope/canter independently and tack up their horse). Haul in horses will be welcome (please ask us for additional info./must provide proof of negative coggins test & current vaccinations). The last few hours of the second day following BBQ lunch, participants will be able to have a relaxing fun afternoon enjoying a water slide from Big Time Inflatables. We will provide snacks and lunch both days. Ages 9 and up.
Riders should have their own horse/leased horse available to them, a select number of lesson horses available on a first come first serve basis with instructor approval. There will be an additional fee for use of a lesson horse for this clinic.
Date: Saturday, September 6th and Sunday, September 7th
Time: 9am-4pm each day
Cost: $875 for both days or $450 per day
