Hi. My name is Natalie Mason. I'm 17 years old and a Junior at Bozeman High School. I started riding at the age of 2 1/2 at Eagle Mount. I started riding with Amy 10 years ago.

The first horse I leased was named Shrek. When I was 14, I got my first horse, Tiger. She and I won a couple checks at local Barrel races. Tiger was actually Amy's first barrel racing horse that she got when she was 14 also. When Tiger got too old to do competitions I bought another horse, Sassy, from Emma who works at CRE.

Sassy definitely lives up to her name of being sassy. Sassy tore her suspensory ligament and I couldn't ride her for 5 months. So I rode a friend's horse, Hawk. I won one my biggest check on him. I was so proud of us. Even after Sassy healed she and I never clicked so we put her up for sale. On the last day of camp last summer, I came out to the arena and jumped off Sassy and presented her to Vivian. She had no idea that her dad had bought Sassy for her - what a fun surprise!

I did get another horse, my Hawk, and we clicked right away. Hawk is an all around rodeo horse. He loves barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, and roping. We are even hoping to go to the Cowboy Dressage Finals in California with Amy. When I am not in lessons or competing I am helping around CRE with lessons, camps and other projects.

I am proud to call CRE my second home and everyone there my second family. I am so thankful for Amy and everyone who has helped me on this journey to becoming a better rider and horse mom.
